When I’m Not Reading . . .

. . .  I am obviously not blogging. Breaks are good even when they are unannounced and no reasons nor apologies given.  That blogging rule that goes: “you should always post regularly and consistently?”  So not me this past month.

We’ve had a great fall and with all the snow on the ground we are well into winter around here.

We had pho (our favorite!) on Thanksgiving day.

Not to worry though, we did have the traditional dinner later that weekend with 3 of my 5 siblings, my in-laws, my parents, and a myriad of nieces and nephews.

And while it was outside doing this:

We stayed inside and put up our Christmas tree:

(Notice our box of holiday picture books underneath?)

We have also been hosting out of state family for the past two weeks. It’s been a blast!

I might add though, that I have in fact also been doing a lot of reading, particularly picture books for the Cybils.   Thus far 232 books read out of 264.  So. Much. Fun.

Hey you! Yes. You! I've noticed that you've stopped by to visit a few times! But I don't know who you are. Why don't you take a moment and introduce yourself. Don't be scared. I try not to bite. I know you're a lurker but I'd love to hear your thoughts about what's been bringing you here. And if you haven't done so already, don't forget to never miss a post by subscribing to my feed or receiving updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

  3. Oh my gosh, you can keep the snow! I think eating pho or whatever you’re thankful for is great for Thanksgiving. I love the photos of your boys eating it.

  6. So cute! I love the pics. The snow we’ve had sure made it easy to get the Christmas stuff up this year. I actually put my tree up the weekend before Thanksgiving during our first big snowstorm (not the one they news freaked out about).

No worries about the breaks. At least you’re still up and around on Twitter from time to time so we know what’s up and how you’re doing. :)

  8. Great pictures! My Christmas books spend time in my classroom. After that, I put them back in their special cupboard in the kitchen to be accessed all year long!

  9. Oh Natasha, you’re so good. When I am not blogging (which is always because I lost the desire and I haven’t been reading either)…I am still not online posting pictures. I think pictures are more of a challenge than regular posting for me. That means I have to take the picture, upload to the computer, and then blog.

Your tree is gorgeous. Looks a lot better than my rinky dink affair. Hmm, you’ve inspired me. I need to take some pictures now. LOL
