A Long Overdue Library Loot Post

Library LootLibrary Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library.

Was June really the last time that I posted a Library Loot post?  Not for the lack of going to the library but rather it seems that my summer just got crazy!  So what are some of the books that we had and currently  have checked out from the library?

As you can tell the kids are on a HUGE dinosaur kick at the moment. My oldest has a dinosaur themed birthday in September and for his party we had dinosaur books set up all around the room.  They were a huge hit.

And something that was really exciting this past month is that my library did away with an age limit for children and getting a library card.  So now we have two more cards! This is either a really bad thing (more to keep track of- more fines to pay) or a really good thing (like twice as many books to check out and twice as many holds to utilize – perfect timing for Cybils!).  My oldest is being very protective of his card and always asking me where it is.

So am I now in trouble for having ability to check out 120 books and have 40 holds?  I think I might be.

Hey you! Yes. You! I've noticed that you've stopped by to visit a few times! But I don't know who you are. Why don't you take a moment and introduce yourself. Don't be scared. I try not to bite. I know you're a lurker but I'd love to hear your thoughts about what's been bringing you here. And if you haven't done so already, don't forget to never miss a post by subscribing to my feed or receiving updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

  2. Ha ha, I would probably abuse my kids’ cards. “I can’t check out b/c of the fine on MY card; no problem, I’ll use my son’s!” : )
