When I’m Not Reading . . .
. . . I’m vacationing at beautiful Bear Lake.
While Taylor was at Comic-Con (he had the time of his life), I wasn’t going to sit around and sulk. Instead I took off for the the surf and the sand. Was wonderful! Sadly, reading books while watching two little boys in the water doesn’t mix. No beach reading for me!
Hey you! Yes. You! I've noticed that you've stopped by to visit a few times! But I don't know who you are. Why don't you take a moment and introduce yourself. Don't be scared. I try not to bite. I know you're a lurker but I'd love to hear your thoughts about what's been bringing you here. And if you haven't done so already, don't forget to never miss a post by subscribing to my feed or receiving updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

Great pictures! I’m so glad you had fun, but i totally understand about the lack of reading time.
on July 31st, 2010 at 12:22 amGreat pictures. That first one is fantastic!
Looks like you had a great time, despite the lack of reading time.
on July 31st, 2010 at 2:46 amFun, fun, fun
on July 31st, 2010 at 6:20 amYou’re right – you can’t read at the beach with little ones, but what you can do is so much more fun. It looks like y’all had a blast!
on July 31st, 2010 at 6:52 amNatasha, I have fantasies of one day being able to read peacefully at the beach. The kids are ALMOST at the age where I can, but not totally yet. Those pictures are great! That first one especially, with the water splashing, it frame-worthy.
on July 31st, 2010 at 7:28 amThose boys look like they are having an absolute blast! We had a family reunion at Bear Lake about 15 years ago and we had a blast–wish we could go back!
on July 31st, 2010 at 7:46 amGorgeous pics! I just came back from Key West and yup, no reading there for me, either!
on July 31st, 2010 at 8:38 amThat looks like so much fun! I’m jealous of your vacation and Taylor’s Comic-Con trip!
on July 31st, 2010 at 8:48 amI’m so excited for my family’s trip to Bear Lake in a few weeks! Looks like so much fun.
on July 31st, 2010 at 10:48 amLooks like such a wonderful time, Natasha! These fun times are what memories are made of….

on August 2nd, 2010 at 8:17 amWe’re headed up that way in a few weeks… Hopefully we have as much fun as you did!!
on August 2nd, 2010 at 1:14 pmWhat a lovely spot. Enjoy!
on August 3rd, 2010 at 6:34 pmI’m jealous of your trip; it looks like you had a lot of fun. I hope I get to see you and your family soon at the Utah book bloggers bash.
on August 4th, 2010 at 4:40 pmMy best friend just went there and had the time of her life! Since I write about people who live in a waterless clime, I find the pictures especially soothing.
on August 10th, 2010 at 8:44 amThese photos are beautiful! I especially like the one of your son running towards you through the water! You look like you’re having so much fun. It would be nice to be able to sit and relax with your feet in the water while reading a good book. But that day will come, too soon in some ways. Life, the days go by so quickly …
Thank you for sharing the photos!

on August 17th, 2010 at 11:23 amJust finished posting my own Comic-Con fun last night. However, I like your idea having fun at the beach. I think next time after the event I’ll treat myself to some r&r at the beach myself after waiting in 3+hour lines every day. Adorable pictures. ;D
