When I’m Not Reading . . .

. . . I’m obviously not blogging either.

What about Book Expo America?  What about Book Blogger Convention?  What books am I excited about?!  What about the Bloggiesta prizes?!  What about all of those reviews that are stacking up all around me?!  What about all those half written posts I have in draft?

One word:

Summer.

Which means that I practically live outdoors.

But yes, let’s hope I get back into the groove here.  In the meantime, may I show off the boxes I shipped home from Book Expo America?

What?  You were expecting to see the books that were in the boxes?  Anticipation is good for you.

Hey you! Yes. You! I've noticed that you've stopped by to visit a few times! But I don't know who you are. Why don't you take a moment and introduce yourself. Don't be scared. I try not to bite. I know you're a lurker but I'd love to hear your thoughts about what's been bringing you here. And if you haven't done so already, don't forget to never miss a post by subscribing to my feed or receiving updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

  3. This is a great post! (And I completely sympathize — I’m dreadfully behind on my BEA/BBC posts as well as reviews too.) It was nice to meet you in NYC!

  4. So many books! I always mean to take a book outside with me in summer but it never happens. You have lots of backup for rainy days, always useful!

  6. Right there with ya. The kids are in the house with me 24/7 now…no middle of the day peace and quiet for me! And they like to be entertained! Can’t wait to see those books!

  7. For me, I actually get more blogging done. I’m a college professor with no kids; so summer is easy peasy for me. Love the read wall by the way. I have a red wall too!

  12. Mmmm…I’s love to live more outside in the summer. Working full time makes me crave weekends outdoors all day. I’m excited to see inside those boxes!

  13. Thanks for reminding us there’s more to life than books. Fortunately I have my 4 year old daughter Milana to help me with this. She drags me away from my desk and excitedly shouts “C’mon lets go for a swim!” or – the real powerhouse – “Do you want to play with me?” said in her cute little girl voice while staring into dad’s pupils with her puppy dog eyes.

Resistance is futile. And that’s a good thing.

    Everyone enjoy! Carpe diem!
