I’m Reading in the 48 Hour Book Challenge!

48hourbcFor the next 48 hours, I’ll be participating in the 48 Hour Book Challenge hosted by Pam at MotherReader.  I had a blast last year and am looking forward to seeing what I can accomplish this weekend.  I’ve only read one book (and not a good one at that) for the past four weeks and after Book Expo America I am excited to read!

I’ll update here on the blog at least one time before my summary post during the 48 hours but I’ll be updating in real time on my Twitter timeline using the #48hbc hashtag.  My official start time is 6:00 pm MDT on Friday and ending time is 6:00 pm on Sunday.

All the details for the challenge can be found on the 48 Hour Book Challenge rules post and see who’s underway with the challenge at the starting line.

To say that I’ve got a huge stack of books to choose from is an understatement.  Im 50 pages into Day for Night by Frederick Reiken and not really enjoying it at all so I’ll likely abandon that one soon and pick something else up. I have The Cardturner by Loius Sachar and Boom by Mark Haddon to get me started.  Blogging & writing reviews also counts as part of the 48 hours.  I am going to set a goal for myself that I write at least ten book reviews.  I’m so behind and I need to get a dent in them!  Please come back and pester  me to see how I am doing in this area.

Hey you! Yes. You! I've noticed that you've stopped by to visit a few times! But I don't know who you are. Why don't you take a moment and introduce yourself. Don't be scared. I try not to bite. I know you're a lurker but I'd love to hear your thoughts about what's been bringing you here. And if you haven't done so already, don't forget to never miss a post by subscribing to my feed or receiving updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

  4. Yes, yes, I completely empathize with your HUGE TBR pile(s). :D It’s a good problem to have, though. Good luck with the challenge and happy reading!

  5. Natasha, an ambitious goal you have set in ten reviews…I also am far behind in reviews and as I noted in an email to you, I am sorry I can’t participate in bloggiesta next weekend but I will be away on vacation. I am really missing not participating in 48 Hour this year, it was such fun for me as a new blogger last year. However, I am keeping my 1 year old grandson this weekend and while we are doing a lot of reading, we are doing a lot of running and walking and playing, too! All best wishes!

  10. I haven’t been reading much lately myself, and have been looking forward to this weekend to get back in the habit of sitting down with a book. Happy reading!
