A Big Welcome to BookExpo America & Book Blogger Convention Attendees!
Why hello there! I wanted to take time out from my regular bookish postings to welcome any new readers who have wandered over this way as a result of BookExpo America or the Book Blogger Convention. What a fantastic week! I attended Book Expo last year for the first time and participated as a panelist on the Book Bloggers Panel. This year I am thrilled to return to New York City for just the second time from my home town of Salt Lake City, Utah, where I am privileged to be on the organizing committee for the first annual Book Blogger Convention.
Perhaps you are already very familiar with the world of book blogs or else you are discovering them for the first time. Book blogs are simply FANTASTIC. We are passionate readers sharing our thoughts, reviews, the good, and yes, sometimes the bad, about everything and anything that reading offers us.
As for myself, I do not remember learning how to read but I do remember from a very small age the satisfaction that reading gave me. I was the girl who wrote down every book that she read for the entire year while in middle school. And while I can remember vividly making those lists, I sure wish I could find them now.
As an adult, I am a VERY eclectic reader. Here you will find book reviews of picture books, middle grade, young adult, adult fiction and non-fiction, author interviews and other book-ish posts in my archives. Learn more about me on the about me page and then feel free to check out my (probably over-detailed) review policy statement.
I am very excited to connect with you and I hope that you’ll leave a comment or contact so I know that you stopped by. Don’t forget to subscribe to receive updates on new posts as well!
Welcome!
Hey you! Yes. You! I've noticed that you've stopped by to visit a few times! But I don't know who you are. Why don't you take a moment and introduce yourself. Don't be scared. I try not to bite. I know you're a lurker but I'd love to hear your thoughts about what's been bringing you here. And if you haven't done so already, don't forget to never miss a post by subscribing to my feed or receiving updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

I’m really excited to hear all about the activities this week at BEA. I was unable to attend but sure hope I get the chance to one of these years.
on May 26th, 2010 at 11:06 amOh, I hope someday that I get to go to both the Book Expo and the Book Bloggers Convention. Unfortunately, finance and health issue made it impossible for me this year. Keep us posted on everything!

on May 26th, 2010 at 10:57 pmBEA will be in New York next year too, so plan now! One of the things I’m most impressed with regarding the book blogs is how well-run they are. I love the graphics here and the variety of reviews. Keep up the great work!
