HA! Surprisingly, I stayed up until about 3am which was a big feat for me. Still, despite falling asleep earlier than you intended you did reall well. Congrats on a successful readathon.

Lovely picture.

My reading partner forgot to wake me up at the start of the readathon. I woke up in a panic at 7:56 and he was calmly sitting in bed next to me. He claims he was going to wake me up at 8am (apparently under the impression that I require no time to, say, use the bathroom).

Ha ha that's funny. Hope you're well rested. I don't have a reading partner but I specifically told my hubby (who is always up late) to wake me up if I fall asleep so I can decide if I want to sleep or read more.

That picture is priceless! I fell asleep in a similar position during the last read-a-thon, my glasses still on and everything.

I love that picture! Such dedication to fall asleep with book in hand!

Having two young ones myself (although yours are a bit younger than mine) I was able to get in quite a bit of reading by having them get excited about the event and read too. My daughter brought down book after book and sat and looked through them all, while my son read Harry Potter. They were both extremely excited about the event and grabbed their books before even eating breakfast. It definitely helped ease some of the stress/guilt I felt about reading all day.

This is too funny! Listen, I don't ever last the entire time either, so whether you have someone there to wake you or not, sleep will call! LOL. It looks like you did quite a bit of great reading though.

I loved the picture! My husband thought I was crazy. He woke up and asked how long I would be typing because it was waking him up. I did my cheerleading to wake me up!

I fall asleep reading and apparently am impossible to wake up, so I know what this is like. lol At least, the guy claims he tried to wake me when I wake up on the couch and he is in the nice comfy bed! That's a great picture. As long as you had fun, I think that is the important thing, right?
