Eat Pray Love Movie Trailer
I saw the Eat, Pray, Love movie trailer posted on Galleycat this morning and as my Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert book review is still among my highest viewed posts each month I thought that the movie trailer would be of interest to my readers:
As apparent from the comments on the book review, it’s a love it or hate it book. What about the movie? Planning on seeing it? I admit, it looks good but I wonder if I’ll find it slightly annoying.
Hey you! Yes. You! I've noticed that you've stopped by to visit a few times! But I don't know who you are. Why don't you take a moment and introduce yourself. Don't be scared. I try not to bite. I know you're a lurker but I'd love to hear your thoughts about what's been bringing you here. And if you haven't done so already, don't forget to never miss a post by subscribing to my feed or receiving updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

Hey Natasha…I sent you an email but don’t know if you got it. You won a book on my March giveaways for Reading for a Cure. Please send me your snail mail address at caribousmom (at) gmail (dot) com so I can have your book sent out to you! Thanks…and congratulations
on March 18th, 2010 at 9:54 amI have to admit that I wasn’t a huge fan of the book. I thought it was “meh” …
But the movie does look surprisingly watchable so I might have to give it a shot!
on March 18th, 2010 at 10:11 amI think it looks good. I haven’t read the book, but now I might.
on March 18th, 2010 at 11:27 amI have zero desire to read the book and doubt I ever will but I might watch the movie. I do like Julia Roberts.
on March 18th, 2010 at 12:47 pmI loved the book, but I do understand why some people despise it. Part of what I loved most about the book, however, was Gilbert’s writing. It was a raw, honest energy that is far too rare. Despite being a fan of the book, I was unsure if it would translate well to the big screen. After seeing the trailer, however, I was sold. I cannot wait to see the film. It was a wonderful surprise!
on March 18th, 2010 at 12:55 pmHmmm…I don’t know. I do like Julia Roberts. However, we discussed perhaps reading this book at my book group. Some had already read it and were so annoyed by it they felt upset even thinking we might read it. It’s non-fic and I don’t read much of that so I have not felt compelled to pick it up. Maybe Netflix.
on March 18th, 2010 at 1:19 pmI haven’t read the book, but really like Julia Roberts so will probably want to see it.
on March 18th, 2010 at 1:34 pmI didn’t read the book. In fact I avoided it, because it was an Oprah thing. I’m sure I’m missing out on life by doing this, but there you go. The trailer makes it look pretty good, but I’m still ambivalent about it. I’ll have to see what the reviews think!
on March 18th, 2010 at 3:27 pmI wasn’t a big fan of the book, but the movie looks great! I’m a follower of Julia Roberts, so I’ll see it regardless of what the reviews happen to be.
on March 18th, 2010 at 4:07 pmEnjoyed the book (even more the audiobook)and definitely will see the movie!
on March 18th, 2010 at 4:40 pmI liked the book, and I have to say that the movie looks pretty true to it — and even a bit better, fleshing out the backstory. I’ll probably see it.
on March 18th, 2010 at 8:37 pmI think it looks just like the book: perfectly frigging annoying.
on March 18th, 2010 at 10:52 pmI had no interest in reading this book, but then I saw the movie tailer and suddenly I do! But I don’t want to see the movie.
on March 18th, 2010 at 11:50 pmI liked the book so I wonder what I think of the movie. It may be worth it just for the scenery in the three places she travels to!
on March 19th, 2010 at 12:08 pmHmm I’ve never read the book and never had any real desire to. Food books just don’t appeal to me. I get the sense it’s not really mostly about food when I watch this trailer…but still…eh. Also, not the biggest Julia Roberts fan.
on March 19th, 2010 at 2:51 pmI had a love relationship with this book, and the movie actually looks good. I love Julia Roberts, but almost would have liked to see someone not quite as famous play the role. I’m sure I’ll see this over the summer. Thanks for sharing the trailer.
on March 19th, 2010 at 3:17 pmI have had the book on my shelf FOREVER. I just can’t seem to find the **insert overcoming force descriptor here** to pick it up.
Is it worth the hype? The movie doesn’t interest me. Does that mean I’ll dislike the book as well??
on March 19th, 2010 at 6:04 pmYou know I never did read this darn book – it just seemed like EVERYONE else had so I already knew it anyway. I’ll probably just see the movie know! I think it looks good.
on March 20th, 2010 at 10:53 amI’ve been enjoying the buzz around this movie – especially the shopping promos.
Here’s one that’s cool cause when you shop through this site at HSN, Cost Plus, Expedia and others – a percent of your sale goes to SurfRider FOundation:
