Tonight! Me! Blog Talk Radio! You’ll Be There, Right?
Nicole from Linus’s Blanket hosts a Blog Talk Radio Show called That’s How I Blog every Tuesday night and interviews book bloggers (check out past shows & future dates) about books, blogging and life!
Tonight, it’s my turn! Tune in at 9pm EST.
I have no idea what Nicole has planned to talk about, so we shall be in for a surprise. That girl can dig through people’s archives like nothing else.
You can listen live or to the archived version later. If you listen live, make sure you register so you can join in the conversation in the chat room. That’s where half of the action takes place. If you have any questions or comments, you can send them to: nicole AT linussblanket DOT com before the show, ask in the chat room or call 646-381-4606 to ask yourself. The player can also be found in my sidebar. So, I guess you could just come here too.
At the end of the show, stick around for the “Twenty Minute Book Club.” For the last twenty minutes we will be discussing the book War Child by Emmanuel Jal. I know there are a few of you that read the book, so call in! But if you were unable to read the book, don’t bail out on the discussion! It’s a type of book where spoilers don’t matter and Emmanuel Jal’s life is SO fascinating that I just want everybody to know about him and his cause.
Homework? Yes! To prep yourself, check out my book review of War Child where there are several great videos about Jal (watching these would really beneficial for the book chat!), listen to his album War Child (it’s in my player right now) or watch the documentary about his life.
Let’s hope my cell phone gets good reception tonight. Usually, nobody can hear me.
Hey you! Yes. You! I've noticed that you've stopped by to visit a few times! But I don't know who you are. Why don't you take a moment and introduce yourself. Don't be scared. I try not to bite. I know you're a lurker but I'd love to hear your thoughts about what's been bringing you here. And if you haven't done so already, don't forget to never miss a post by subscribing to my feed or receiving updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

I’m probably the last blogger to finally get around to listening to Nicole’s show. I finally listened to some yesterday, and now I’m hooked! I’m looking forward to listening tonight. Let’s hope your cell gets reception and my kids go to bed early (the latter is highly unlikely, and they fight most just before bed, so maybe I should threaten early bed if they’re not quiet?)

on January 19th, 2010 at 7:40 amI am planning on being there! I havent finished the book yet but should have some reading time this afternoon amazed at his story.
Thanks for the links – I will check them out as well.
on January 19th, 2010 at 7:56 amI’m going to TRY really hard to listen live, but I’ve got strep throat and I’m taking codeine at night to sleep … I might be needing my medicine (and hence, falling asleep) before 9pm.
But if I miss it I’ll definitely listen to the recorded version tomorrow!
on January 19th, 2010 at 11:29 amThis sounds interesting. I’ll be praying for your cell phone connection.
