Bloggiesta – The Finish Line

Bloggiesta Finish Line

Hola Bloggiesta fiesta goers!  You did it!  You made it to the end of the finish line!

THANK YOU so much for participating!  I hope that got much accomplished, have a better looking blog and had fun at the same time.  We had more than 130 bloggers join the fiesta! I am still trying to make my way around to everybody’s blog to read up on your progress.

A shout out to our awesome sponsorsScholastic, Hachette Book Group, Peachtree Publishers, Lisa Roe, Publicist and Bloomsbury Publishing for giving away some fantastic titles.  Thank you!  I will be putting up a post about mid-week announcing winners.

I hope you enjoyed the mini-challenges from:  Rebecca from The Book Lady’s Blog, Pam from MotherReader, Danielle from There’s a Book, Pam from Bookalicio.us, Beth from Beth Fish Reads, Jackie from Farm Lane Books, Karin from Karin’s Book Nook, Chelle from Tempting Persephone, Kristen from Bookworming in the 21st Century, and Jenn from Jenn’s Bookshelves.  Thank you ladies for hosting.  They were great!

Please sign the Mr. Linky again (I know, again!) with the direct link to your final summary post. This is a totally selfish move on my part and helps me make sure I don’t miss any of them.  I really want to read your feedback!  Let me know how many hours you spent on the challenge, the mini-challenges you participated in, how many comments you left other bloggers, what you accomplished, what you liked best and any constructive criticism you might have.  I also need some ideas for mini-challenges for the next Bloggiesta so let me know!  Mark your calenders for June!

Hasta la vista!

Hey you! Yes. You! I've noticed that you've stopped by to visit a few times! But I don't know who you are. Why don't you take a moment and introduce yourself. Don't be scared. I try not to bite. I know you're a lurker but I'd love to hear your thoughts about what's been bringing you here. And if you haven't done so already, don't forget to never miss a post by subscribing to my feed or receiving updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

I had a lot of fun and learned a lot. I hope to keep implementing much of what I’ve added to my “bag of tricks.”

  8. This has been SUCH an AWESOME experience. I’m a huge nerd who loves online communities, and I think this was a great way to get the book blogging community to interact with each other. It was so exciting to see my blog get more comments in one day than it usually gets in a month, and then being able to hop on Twitter & ask fellow bloggers for advice, or follow their links to new and awesome resources.

I haven’t written up my finish line post yet – I’m going to get started on it now, but I might not finish it until tomorrow morning – but I wanted to make sure I expressed my thanks! My Finish Line post will be linked through Mr. Linky as soon as it’s live.

  21. Considering that it turned out to be a very busy weekend AWAY from the computer for me, I actually got quite a bit done. Unfortunately, I had almost no time to visit other bloggers or do mini-challenges. Hopefully, I’ll do better with those next Bloggiesta…or not. Most of my weekends in June will be occupied with family travel, so maybe the next time after that :-) .

Thanks for hosting this again, Natasha!

  22. I’m exactly where Florinda is! I missed out on being able to sit with the computer for a bit and really digging in, but I appreciate the heck out of the event for getting me going in any direction with updating!

Will be checking up on other participants and their thoughts this afternoon. :-)

  23. Natasha,

Thank you so much! I spent about 6-8 hours on the favicon and sprucing up the look on my site.

Then I spent a lot more hours (not sure how many) browsing. I’m not sure what my niche should be. I’ve been at this blogging thing for 7 years, but on’t know exactly where I fit in. Still working on that, and this was a big inspiration to me to figure out what my blog is really about and why I’m doing it.

    Thanks!

  24. Hi,

I posted my link to the finish line post but realized I did not come by and leave a comment. Natasha – just wanted to thank you for all the work you did on this event – it was a great experience for me! I learned a lot and most importantly really felt the book blogging community and that’s why I started blogging – to be part of a community of readers with whom I could share my thoughts on reading/books and hear theirs. thanks again!

  25. My weekend went astray and I only got a few things done, but I’m continuing my blog updates into this week to make up for it!

    Congrats on everyone’s progress!
