Why I Love Twitter

the dark divine (medium)I had wanted to post this last week but I barely downloaded photos off of my camera.  Before Thanksgiving I was reading The Dark Divine By Bree Despain, a Young Adult paranormal romance which I enjoyed (review to come).  In the book , Grace, our main character makes a caramel apple pie.

Yum!! It sounded delicious!  I stopped right there, got on Twitter and within the next ten minutes had the recipe in my hands and 24-hours later was enjoying the same pie from the book.

How did that pie turn out?

I served the pie to my book club and drizzed Butterscotch caramel on each piece.  Yum!!!  I loved the topping.   Bree has since posted the recipe on her blog, so go get the recipe, and when her book The Dark Divine comes out right before Christmas, go read it, and have some pie on the ready so you can have a slice when you get to part where Grace bakes some up.  You won’t regret it.

Hey you! Yes. You! I've noticed that you've stopped by to visit a few times! But I don't know who you are. Why don't you take a moment and introduce yourself. Don't be scared. I try not to bite. I know you're a lurker but I'd love to hear your thoughts about what's been bringing you here. And if you haven't done so already, don't forget to never miss a post by subscribing to my feed or receiving updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

  5. Wow! That pie looks absolutely fantastic! I wish I had more time for twitter. I really do enjoy keeping up with everyone on there when time allows.

I’ve had it come in handy too. Once I had turned a book back into the library and needed to check a quote. Within a minute’s time I had found someone on twitter who had the book on their desk and was able to confirm the quote for me.

  6. It does look yummy! I really ought to make the plunge and get a Twitter account but I can’t quite bring myself to add something else to my to-do list.

  10. That would only be better if you were tweeting and then baking from my house. LOL! Wow! What did we do before Google, Twitter, and Facebook? Clearly we never ate so good.
