Lenore lives in my town and I was lucky enough to meet her a few years back and she signed some of her books for me. She also wrote the super cute Ruby Lu series and a couple of beautifully illustrated picture books (my favorite being Uncle Peter’s Amazing Chinese Wedding).

Sounds brilliant. Wish I’d read stuff like this in middle school. Sunnybrook farm seems to pale.
