Bloggiesta: The Finish Line!
You made it! Thank you everybody for partying during Bloggiesta – the blogging marathon with a fiesta flair!
I hope you had a great time and not only learned lots but got much accomplished! Thank you SO much to everybody who participated. We had 85 participants. You’re enthusiasm was amazing! I loved visiting your blogs and left more than 125 comments; I’ll be making the rounds again to read your wrap up posts. I still am shaking my head with how many people participated when I just began to put this event in the planning stage just a week ago. I love social media. I do.
A huge special thank you to the mini-challenge hosts who graciously accepted the call with literally no notice on my part. The posts, tips, and advice were fantastic. Thanks Rebecca at The Book Lady’s Blog, Beth from Beth Fish Reads, Jill at Fizzy Thoughts, Emily from Emily’s Reading Room, Deborah from Books, Movies, and Chinese Food, Lynn from Chronicle of an Infant Bibliophile, Jen from Devourer of Books, Amy from My Friend Amy, Trish from Hey Lady! Watcha Readin’?, Michelle from GalleySmith, Andrea from Book Blather and Ruth from Bookish Ruth. Couldn’t have done it without you!
Another huge thank you to the Bloggiesta sponsors for providing the giveaways that are not only just plain fun, but give us something to work towards. Thanks Tilbury House, Tor and Forge Books, Henry Holt, Unbridled Books, FSB Associates , My Friend Amy, and myself.
Please sign the Mr. Linky again (I know, again!) with the direct link to your final summary post. Tis easier for me to find out your stats, etc. to divvy out the the prizes. Your final summary post should ideally include the number of hours spent on the challenge, what you accomplished, the mini-challenges you participated in, number of comments you left while bloggiesting, what you enjoyed most about the challenge and what you’d like to see included in the next Bloggiesta. Yes! We will do it again!
Now it’s time to send Pedro down to sleep. He’s exhausted. Hasta la vista!
Hey you! Yes. You! I've noticed that you've stopped by to visit a few times! But I don't know who you are. Why don't you take a moment and introduce yourself. Don't be scared. I try not to bite. I know you're a lurker but I'd love to hear your thoughts about what's been bringing you here. And if you haven't done so already, don't forget to never miss a post by subscribing to my feed or receiving updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

Thanks so much for hosting this challenge! You did a great job! I haven’t tallied all my comments yet as I’m not done commenting.
on June 21st, 2009 at 5:08 amThank you so much for hosting this event, Natasha! It was so much, and I’m so glad I signed up for it.
And now, I am going to sleep.
on June 21st, 2009 at 5:46 amIt was so much fun. I really am tired.
on June 21st, 2009 at 5:47 amThanks so much for hosting this challenge. I had a blast! I ended up not doing the errands I was supposed to do yesterday and I worked on the blog most of the day!
on June 21st, 2009 at 5:59 amI’ve had a great time this weekend, although there were too many distractions. The only improvement I could suggest on this Bloggiesta (in preprarion for the next one) is a little more notice so that I can be a bit more organised coming into the Bloggiesta weekend.
Before I forget, here is my Bloggiesta Finish Line post.
Thanks Natasha for you’re great work in getting everything organised for this weekend. Thanks to all the other bloggers who hosted mini-challenges as well – I’m planning to work my way through the ones I missed this weekend during the coming week.
I’ve been inspired this weekend. Thanks everyone!
on June 21st, 2009 at 6:20 amNatasha – I can’t thank you enough for this. I learned so much, was introduced to so many other blogs and bloggers and got a lot of work that needed to be done, done. I realize that I didn’t track the hours, more tracked against my goals – here’s my final post: http://baileysandbooks.wordpress.com/2009/06/20/hasta-la-vista-bloggiesta/

And a special, huge, I can’t say enough Thank You to Natasha. You came up with this idea, organized it, and helped us all and cheered us all though the process.
on June 21st, 2009 at 8:52 amThis has been really great for me (and everyone else, from the look of it). I still have a lot left on my list to accomplish, but without the challenge I’d have kept putting it off. I’m going to try and keep the momentum going. Thanks for hosting!

on June 21st, 2009 at 9:34 amI hadn’t planned on participating, and didn’t add my Linky
, but I did end up doing a lot of (and am still doing more) improvements to my blog. Reading everyone’s posts and challenges were inspiring, and I think the blogosphere will be the better for Bloggiesta. Ole!

on June 21st, 2009 at 2:01 pmThis was fantastic! I had a such a great time doing this and I learned about so much! Thanks so much for hosting you did a fabulous job!
on June 21st, 2009 at 3:11 pmDitto. What everyone else said. What a great resource for the future. How many projects do you have going at once anyway? I think you have more than enough from what I can see. Don’t get burned out, please.
on June 21st, 2009 at 4:23 pmThis is a great tool for everyone. And by the time we do another one, there will be lots of new book bloggers who will appreciate the help, and then we will all need a pickmeup by then also! I enjoyed the increased traffic to my site also.. I guess it was via #bloggiesta twittering.
and then there will be lots of new things to try out with more widgets etc.
Who else has a favicon installed? I’ve been wanting to check them out! Comment on The Burton Review if you have a favicon so I can come see it.
on June 21st, 2009 at 4:41 pmAnyway.. see y’all next time!
Natasha:
Thanks for putting together and hosting such a great challenge! Your work is appreciated!

At any rate I wanted to thank you for putting together such a wonderful event. It was a tremendous amount of fun, educational, and productive. You made “working” seem less like work and more like play.
Great job!
