Book Expo America!
(This post is sticky, scroll down for newer posts. Or at least I think it’s sticky.)
If you’re visiting today from or as a result of BookExpo America – welcome! I’m thrilled and excited to be a part of this fantastic trade show!
I’ve always been a passionate reader, in fact, I’ve kept a journal since I was very young and the very first line of that journal is, “I’m eight years old and I’ve read all The Little House on the Prairie Books.” Obviously, I was quite proud myself and hope I can pass on that same excitement to my two little boys.
You can learn more about me on the about me page and in my review policy. Poke around the archives where you will find book reviews of picture books, middle grade, young adult, adult fiction and non-fiction and author interviews with the likes of Newbery authors Ingrid Law, Shannon Hale, Kirby Larson to authors such as Sara Zarr, Bonny Becker, Katherine Center, Jennie Nash, David Ebershoff and more. But I’ve got more than reviews and interviews, you’ll also find me cooking up author recipes in the kitchen with my boys, laughing over all the ways people ruin books and you’ll even catch me doing vlogs as well.
I’m excited to be able to connect with you whether you are a blogger, an author, publisher, publicist, bookseller or an industry professional and look forward to getting to know you!
Happy reading!
(As a side note, I am currently seeking sponsorship, so if you are interested in promoting your company with advertising space, don’t hesitate to contact me.)
Hey you! Yes. You! I've noticed that you've stopped by to visit a few times! But I don't know who you are. Why don't you take a moment and introduce yourself. Don't be scared. I try not to bite. I know you're a lurker but I'd love to hear your thoughts about what's been bringing you here. And if you haven't done so already, don't forget to never miss a post by subscribing to my feed or receiving updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

I am an Australian author living in Australia but recently published in the USA by Eloquent Books/AEG Publishing New York. My teenage/young adult fiction novel is entitled Dangerous Days: The Autobiography of a Photojournalist. What advice could you provide for promoting my book?

on May 31st, 2009 at 3:03 pmCongratulations on the success of the blogging panel. I am enjoying your blog and would love for you to take a look at mine when you have a minute. If you like it, it would be great if you would add it to your links of Bookish Websites. Thanks for all the great links by the way.
Cheers,
Cynthia
Hello Ms. Maw, I enjoyed hearing you on the panel, I hope you had a good trip back. Happy reading, Mike
on June 1st, 2009 at 9:52 pmDear Maw Books (tee hee) … Seriously! It was great to finally meet you in person on Saturday. The panel was great and if it hadn’t been for the line of adoring fans, I would have loved to hang around more and chatted.
Hope you had a safe journey home! What’s your favorite book find of the weekend?!
on June 3rd, 2009 at 8:28 amThanks for being on the panel. I especially liked hearing about how you’re working with the University of Utah bookstore, but of course I would, given that I’m a Ute.
on June 3rd, 2009 at 9:59 amSounds like you had a wonderful time. It all sounded like so much fun.
BTW – I’m a Utah blogger, too.
