Kathy - My little boy just about has this book memorized already. We were going on a walk the other day and we were able to recite it fairly well.

Ali - It would work as a flap book. Ask a question and then see the answer underneath.

Jenn M. - No matter what, somebody is going to have a problem with something no matter how innocent it is.

Mike J. - I think anybody would have to have a colorful personality to write a book like this! At least, be very outgoing!

I believe that is a great book. Even adults would enjoy the author's write-ups. Base from the interview, I think she has a very colorful personality and really is a smart woman. Keep it up... Chicken Butt! :)

What a diverse author. She sounds like a blast. You think of all the same questions I would ask. I do know people who would have a problem with the whole idea of the word "butt" being used...but you can't please everyone. I got told off once as a teacher because I told everyone to get out their magic glue and glue their 'booty' to the floor. Apparently booty is unacceptable as well.

I think this sounds like a great book and I like the video on the previous post. You do have some cute kids!

I loved reading about how her original vision for the book was totally different from the end result. It would make a really fun lift-the-flap style board book, too!

Great interview. I love the question about rhyme and tempo. My son loved books that rhymed (even old fashioned nursery rhymes) and would memorize them faster than he would memorize his other books.
