7 long years. Imagine that. That is so awful, I can’t even image watching my kids grow up through only a hole! With mice and rats crawling through your bed. I am disappointed the letters were not hers, I read the book and was astonished that they found these letters. A good story none the less.

i love this book.harriet is an outstanding aand courageous person who will do anything for freedom and independence even if its compelling.she was averted but was able to get back and fight for what she believes is right

the book is beter because of the format, a letter. this gives a more discriptive story
best book ever!!:)
