Natasha, your kids are so cute! Loved this video. Sandra Boynton is huge in this house. My daughter loves her animal books like Barnyard Dance, Moo Ba La La La and Fifteen Animals. She just loves making all the animal sounds. Do you have any of her music books/cds? My son loves them. I am going to have to replace some of our Boynton board books soon because they are all getting a little too much love. They are pretty much shredded. :-)

My daughter loves Richard Scarry books, especially "This Is My House." You can sure spend a lot of time browsing and reading the Scarry books. As far as Boynton goes, we recommend "Blue Hat, Green Hat." Always good for a laugh.

Chris - We have the dinosaur book too. Never really got into Goodnight Moon. It's too quiet of a book, I think for my little guys.

Ladytink_534 - Ha, ha! I'll have to look that one up.

Irene - Thank you so much for your kind words! I will go take a look at your book.

Kristina - Thank you! I must admit this is my favorite video chat so far because I just can't get enough of them. I'm embarrassed to say how many times I've watched it. Maybe another video chat topic would be showing off how many ripped books are in the house. You wouldn't believe how many pages I've ended up throwing away.

Tracy - Really? My littlest one looks more like me but my oldest looks just like my husband. Whenever we go out, I'm never told I look like them. Except for the hair color. Our hair color is identical. If you put them together you wouldn't be able to tell which was which.

Your video is great - a three year old reading from books and believing he is getting it all right - just the way it should be. I think all moms could take a leaf from your life book.
Reading from memory does help them learn, but it is also important (in my opinion)to introduce new books to keep the learning and interest alive.
My new book for the little ones would do that. Maybe you will look it up one day.

I don't have any children but I do remember reading books when I was a kid so many times that I had memorized them. Dr. Seuss especially since the rhyming made it so easy. Oh there was another too, Jillian Jiggs by Phoebe Gilman. I doubt I'll ever forget: "Jillian, Jillian, Jillian Jiggs! It looks like your room has been lived in by pigs!"

Cute!! Great sound effects ;)

A few years ago, Barnyard Dance was a big hit in our house, so was Oh My, Oh My, Oh Dinosaurs! also by Boynton. My girl has that memorized. Goodnight Moon was a favorite as well. Now we really like Olivia and The Pigeon (drives a bus, finds a hotdog).

Lisa - We have Doggies too. I've seen the pirates books at the store and they look great!

Jeane - I've never heard of those one's before. My oldest loves the mouse (well, gerbil - he call's it a mouse) at our library. It's the first thing he has to see when he goes in. Our librarian takes it out and let's him pet it.

Suey - We've never tried Goodnight Moon before although I know it's really popular. We do like anything Dr. Suess.

Sharon - Well, thanks for coming back! I seriously hope these people don't come back for a third time. Ugh. I love Berenstain's books!

Kim - We went through a stage with Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? He loved doing the different sounds. He does do great sounds!

Very cute kids! He does do great animal sounds.

Brown Bear, Brown Bear is a very easy one to memorize but it is always a favorite. Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? and Thomas and the School Trip have also been favorites. I remember "reading" Danny and the Dinosaur when I was little. I could say every word.
