January Search Terms – What Brought You Here This Time?
The return of the search word posts! Each month, I will highlight my favorite search terms that brought people via search engines to the Maw Books Blog. In the past, I have answered bookish questions (who, what, where, why, when, what page, etc). I just can’t handle it anymore and dropping those will let me focus on just the fun stuff! In January, there were more than 23,000 search terms logged in. I’ve picked out a few of my favorites and left them exactly as they were typed in. I hope you enjoy!

- how can pregnancy occur with one right fallopian tube and 1 left ovary I have one ovary and fallopian tube on the right side, but because my doctor told me that it is possible for the egg to travel across the top of the uterus and into the other tube, we were going to remove my left tube. This is because I don’t have a complete uterus (only half). In my case, we were going to remove my left fallopian tube to reduce chances of an ectopic pregnancy. As always ask a doctor. My full story.
- 36 weeks pregnant, i want my water to break what can i do I am seriously concerned for not only the mental health of this mother, but the physical health of her and her baby. Crazy! 36 weeks is not full term, why would you want to do that to your child?

Love this post, I’m glad you’re doing these, AND! I know the answer to the chinese dragon dance cabbage question! Just in time for the Lunar New Year.
So, I took my kids to a traditional Chinese Lion Dance (it’s not a dragon, it’s a lion) last year and indeed there was cabbage involved. Someone tosses it, or lettuce, into the lion’s mouth and the people inside the costume chop it up and the dragon/lion spits it out again. Cabbage was everywhere! It was awesome.
Apparently the cabbage/lettuce symbolizes prosperity. Here’s more info and pictures: http://www.chcp.org/lion.html
on January 31st, 2009 at 2:07 amAnd another thing! My favorite keyword search on my blog is:

on January 31st, 2009 at 7:36 pmNatasha – that was hilarious. I think the question about Twilight is my favorite.
on January 31st, 2009 at 9:21 pmAli – Thanks for that answer! You would think with my husband being half Chinese I would at least know that but we haven’t gone to any festivals the past few years. Your peak keyword was like my sold keyword.
Callista – I thought you were doing those every week, which for me was just to much. Is it just once a month now? If so, I could maybe swing that. I like to do it as a month in review.
Jeane – Oh good. I’m glad you’re glad! I got overwhelmed for a while but decided I could lighten it up a bit so I could handle it this year. Besides, some of them are so funny that I couldn’t possibly keep them to myself!
Kathy – Oh good. Thanks on the John Grogan question.
Cari – That was mine too.
on January 31st, 2009 at 11:22 pmI love looking at the search terms! Some are truly funny and others are just baffling.
