There’s No Such Thing as Ghosts by Emmanuelle Eeckhout

There’s No Such Thing as Ghosts by Emmanuelle Eeckhout is a fun new Halloween book that kids will be sure to love.  When a little boy moves to a new neighborhood his mother tells him to not go near the strange old house on the corner because it’s haunted.  “Haunted?  There’s no such thing as ghosts!  But if there is . . .  I’m going to catch one!” he says as he sets off with his butterfly net determined to find one.

As he searches the house up and down, through the dining room, in the bedrooms, in the bath, and under the couch he can’t find a single ghost.  What’s so cute about this story is that the text and the illustrations tell a different story.  While he can’t find any ghosts there are ghosts everywhere.  They are cute, fun, and family friendly.

The illustrations are bold and the silhouettes give a fun look to this picture book.  A great non-scary introduction for your little ones about ghosts.
