Day 18: Reading & Blogging for Darfur

Darfur ButtonWell, it’s been two and a half weeks!  THANK YOU to everybody who has gotten involved in some way or another!  I feel like my reading has slowed down this past week, especially the past two days in which I haven’t finished anything.  I keep falling asleep.  Can you imagine that?  Even if it is two in the morning?  I think I’m up to 21 books.  Not to shabby.  ;)

So what have I finished since my last update Books I’ve reviewed are linked over.  Others are coming.

Guest posts from this past week:

Other posts published since last update:

Stats so far:

  • Pages read since September 1st:  3,821 at a penny a page equals  $38.21

  • Number of Darfur books read or documentaries watched: 9 at .50 cents each equals $4.50

(Think of those books and videos as a mini-challenge. Two weeks left!)

Visit these great reviews!

Let me know if I missed you and I’ll make sure to link over next week.  I know a lot of you mentioned that you’d be reading and watching videos.  Just a reminder that there is just a couple of weeks left.

Giveaways!  These are just the prizes that have been announced so far.  I know I mentioned that I would list all the prizes in this post but I’m afraid that it will get lost with all of the BBAW stuff going on.  So I’ll be putting up a separate post on Sunday.  There are so many they deserve their own post anyways.  There are TONS MORE than what it listed!!  Read here for details on what to do to become eligible.

It’s not to late to get involved.  Open to everybody, everywhere!  Click here for all of the details and click here for a great Darfur primer.

Hey you! Yes. You! I've noticed that you've stopped by to visit a few times! But I don't know who you are. Why don't you take a moment and introduce yourself. Don't be scared. I try not to bite. I know you're a lurker but I'd love to hear your thoughts about what's been bringing you here. And if you haven't done so already, don't forget to never miss a post by subscribing to my feed or receiving updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

  11. Amazing!
I was supposed to go get some Darfur books from the library but we and the library have had no power since Sunday. Hopefully I will still have time to read and/or watch something before the end of the month.

For some reason, Askimet Spam is giving me a lot of false positives. Even to those who have left me many comments before. So if you leave a comment, hit submit, and it seems to go the way of the wind, don't resubmit it. I'll catch it and publish it. Also, if you leave 2 or more links in your comment, it automatically goes into moderation. I'll catch that too.

I love and invite your comments. I thrive on them. But by posting a comment, you agree to not post off topic, defamatory, obscene, abusive, or use language that is not family friendly. I have the right to remove such comments and prevent you from leaving comments in the future. That said, comment away!
