I did pretty good in June (meaning I only bought a few books). I hit Half Price Books one night and bought 5 books for me and 2 for my son. I also bought 5 or 6 board books for my baby’s birthday.
I received my Bookmarks magazine and eagerly flipped through it but nothing jumped out at me and I have not sat down to go through it more in depth yet. Usually I get it and sit down right away to read through it and mark my picks.

I loved The Tiger Rising. Very powerful for such a short book.

I didn’t find much in the current Bookmarks magazine either. Actually, I’m not sure if my tastes have changed or the books they review, but I haven’t found much in the last several issues. Not compared to when I first started received the magazine a couple years ago. *sigh* Oh well.

Ha ha! I picked up two bags of books a few Fridays ago even though I’m going to our library sale in a month. I just can’t help my book binge!! I recently picked up A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and hope to read it in the next few weeks for IRL bookclub. Happy reading Natasha!

Natasha - YOU MUST READ “A GIRL NAMED ZIPPY”! I know what it’s like to have a thousand books on your TBR list, but seriously, that one is one of my favorites. I had the, er, pleasure of reading a good many memiors in school, and this one far outshines them all. Oh, how it will make you laugh! Trust me on this one.
