oh.

I had read some great reviews of this book and added it to my wish list - but I'm not really a fan of foul language either... it's just slid down the list!

PS - I'm just commenting and not entering as I live in the sunny UK!

I can't claim to have the cleanest mouth, although I realize there is a time and a place and I don't enjoy seeing it gratuitously in a movie or in a book. I think I've read a review about this one somewhere else--but I can't remember. Forgettable?

I guess I'm in the minority. I too cannot abide so much bad language. My husband works in construction, where the F-word is every other word. Don't enter me.

Breanna - You're in! Thanks for entering.

Cindi - You're in as well. I do wish he could have picked some better vocabulary. I guess he felt that was his characters personality.

Chris - I can get past a word here and there but after it being used sentence after sentence it got to me. I kept putting it down and felt obligated to finish it, but my morale won out at the end.

Amy - I saw good reviews as well. Oh well, I can't give everything I read a good one and this one just didn't make the cut for me.

Heather - I'd love for you to win as well. I've got you in.

Kathleen - If it doesn't bother you than I'm sure you'd enjoy it.

Deslily - Somebody left me a comment once saying I was a strait laced prude. Oh well, I guess I just like my reads a little more on the clean side. For me, this was overkill.

TheElementary - I felt it was in excess. Using the word one time would have been enough, but it came up in every conversational passage and then some.

LisaMM - I'll go over and take a look at the interview. Thanks. It's interesting to see how we all take something away from a book that is so different from somebody else. I think our life experiences contribute a lot to our reading experiences.

I read and reviewed the book (I liked it a lot), and would you believe I did not even notice the f-word being used so liberally! I gave the book away on my blog so I can't even go back and look.

Don't count me in for the book- I'd probably have enjoyed it but like you that seems over the top. Language is too beautiful to be corrupted while I'm reading. Sometimes in film it's called for, but for me, I can't deal with it in books to excess.
