I Want Your Book Reviews (again)!
Those of you that have been following my blog for several months can turn around, scream and run away as I once again talk about the Book Bloggers Book Reviews. I’m bringing it up again for a couple of reasons: my readership went up a ton this past month so I’ll be bringing the newbies (new to my blog, that is) up to date and because of this weeks Weekly Geek theme.
If your a book blogger than you already know about Weekly Geeks hosted by Dewey at The Hidden Side of a Leaf. This week’s theme is to compile other bloggers book reviews and link to them at the end of your own book reviews. I seem to be ahead of the game here because I’ve already compiled other bloggers book reviews on every single book I’ve read (and not to mention tons on books I haven’t read). For example, want more The Book Thief reviews? Why I have more than fifty. Want more Shannon Hale reviews? Why, I think I have more than a hundred. Stephenie Meyer? Yep, I’ve got her too.
While I will not be starting to add these links into the bottom of my posts as suggested, I hope everyone knows that you are more than welcome to submit to me your book review links and I’ll add it to the database. Heck, I don’t even care if I’ve reviewed it! Just contact me and send the links my way. It’s easier if you send me the links rather than directing me to your blog as a whole. If you send me direct links, I’ll put all of them up no matter what. (Note: this is new. I am now accepting any and all links. Not just those on my reading lists.) It might take me a long time to do it, but I’ll do it. If you direct me to your blog, I’ll add you to my reader and when I add a book that you have happened to review, then yours will get added as well. I hope that you find this database very helpful to find wonderful new blogs and to get the skinny on your favorite and not so favorite books.
So far I’ve created just one button, but I hope to get several more up. If you are the type of person who does the button thing, feel free to add it to your own blog. The more people who know about the database, the more they’ll use it, the more traffic we’ll all get.
Oh, and if you see a book that I’ve reviewed on my blog and you’ve reviewed as well, feel free to leave the url of your own book review in the space provided when you leave a comment. I do this ALL the time. My little secret. If somebody likes my comment enough to follow me over to my blog, they’ll be taken to my review of the same book. Feel free to do that here to alert me to your own review.
Okay, those of you who ran away screaming at the beginning of my post can come back now. I’m done talking about the Book Bloggers Book Reviews database.
For now . . .

Wow, Natasha! That is so utterly incredible! What a lot of work you must put into it!
on May 5th, 2008 at 3:20 pmWow, that’s a lot of hard work. Surprising I didn’t know about this before. I’ll have to remember to send you my review links.
Btw, I’m having a major Book Giveaway for Mother’s Day. It’s underway. Hope you’ll stop by.

Ooops, I forgot to say thank you. I have a lot more reviews on my blog but I’m not sure the best way to give them to you.
Thanks! A Lot!!
on May 5th, 2008 at 4:49 pmMs Natasha - I was thinking about you when I saw this week’s Weekly Geeks. I’m overwhelmed by the task of finding reviews of the books I am reviewing and I immediately thought of your wonderful resource!
on May 5th, 2008 at 5:02 pmI’m going to just say ditto to what Debi said with the “utterly incredible!” What a great job - WOW!
on May 5th, 2008 at 5:58 pmYeah I don’t know how you find time to eat or sleep! You must teach me your secret. I get overwhelmed with my itty bitty little blog sometimes. I have not tried anything as ambitious as that. It is a very impressive database, and I will be back to reference it!
on May 5th, 2008 at 7:59 pmYep, I basically don’t eat or sleep. Thank goodness the baby started to sleep through the night or else I don’t when I would do this. Admittedly, it is a lot of work, but I like that I’m providing something that each of you can use. It’s continually being updated so check back often.
on May 5th, 2008 at 10:16 pmHow great - I will be submitting some review links in the near future - keep up the great job!
on May 6th, 2008 at 10:20 amI thought of you as well when I read what the Weekly Geeks were doing. I hope it makes things easier for you. As I’ve said many times, it is a fabulous site!
on May 7th, 2008 at 12:12 pmIt’s awesome to have all of these in one place, and certainly interesting finding out what people thought of certain books. I notice you have a Phillipa Gregory section, but nobody has reviewed “Wideacre”. Here’s my review if you feel like putting it up: http://kbookreviews.wordpress.com/2008/04/18/review-wideacre-a-novel-by-philippa-gregory/
on May 8th, 2008 at 9:39 pmWhat a wonderful site! It’s such a great resource!!!!
on May 10th, 2008 at 4:45 amTracee - Feel free to send links anytime.
Joy - Thanks. I have had a lot of submissions with Weekly Geeks. I’m glad it’s finally getting around the blogosphere.
Kathleen - I’ll get your review up. thanks!
Jennifer - Why, thanks! I hope you come often. I try to update it as often as I can.
