Thank You to My April Visitors

So I blatantly stole this idea from Joy, who got the idea from Danielle. A good idea is a good idea! As soon as I saw it I knew I had to do the same. You’ll notice that I don’t have a blogroll on this blog and I was never quite sure what to do about it. Honestly, I didn’t want one because what if I left somebody out? So I created the Book Bloggers Book Reviews to make up for it (I know, I know . . . I have to mention the database whenever I can sneak it in). Anyways, I still wanted to give recognition to those who were kind enough to drop by during the month of April and say hello. Which let me tell you, this month was a month like no other. I wouldn’t have thought that blogging would bring so much pleasure. But because of the kind folks listed below, it has been. I’ll now be doing this at the end of every month.

So here is a BIG THANK YOU to everybody who stopped by this month!

BFFAnd on another note, Trish from Hey Lady! Whatcha Readin? gave me the BFF Gold Card (Blogging Friends Forever - I finally saw the small print). MY FIRST AWARD!! You are too kind. To quote Trish “First of all, when I started blogging and I was just a fledgling, I saw all kinds of awards being given back and forth and I longed for the day when I would get one of those awards, when I would be part of the group.” My feelings exactly! But I have to admit when I discovered the community of book bloggers, I remember telling my husband, “It’s so odd, they actually give each other awards!” I didn’t think that I would care, but I have to admit that my heart went thump, thump when I saw I received one! And I’m happy every time I think about it. So thanks Trish!

Now, this is really hard for me. Who do I pass this on to? I’ve meet so many wonderful bloggers. I don’t want to leave anybody I really love out. To hard! Okay, there’s no easy way to do this, so I will pass this on to everybody who is a Top Ten Commentator (see my left sidebar) and right back to Trish! For some reason, they just keep coming back again and again, so that deserves a gold star (I mean card) in my book! Thanks!

P.S. If it was your first time here this month and you’re one the list and I haven’t stopped by your blog yet, I PROMISE that I will. I’m a tad overwhelmed. And I’ll eventually get to responding to the comments on my blog as well, I’ve fallen behind. In the meantime, have fun doing some blog surfing. There are some great blogs in there!

  1. I like this idea. So I’m going to blatantly steal this idea from you and Joy, and Danielle.

    Thanks!

  3. You definitely deserve that award!

I know what you mean about getting overwhelmed with the comments. I’ve given myself an unwritten rule that if I have anything I can say back to the person, I do. If not, I let it go. We’ll stumble through this blogging thing together!

  4. I’m putting my books reviews on a separate blog–before they were on my personal page. It’s here. Rebecca’s Webpage linked to above is my personal page.

  5. Wow, thank you, Natasha! It feels good to win an award and to be able to pass it on, too! Let’s be blogging friends forever!!!

  7. Dang it, another idea to steal from you. You’re like the clearing house of good ideas.

  8. […] more views than my previous highest day!  To celebrate, I want to steal an idea from Natasha at Maw Books (who I think stole the idea from others) and thank everyone who stopped by this month.  I […]

  9. Leisa - There are some great ideas floating around out there. I like this one especially since I don’t have a blogroll!

    LisaMM - Ah, thanks.

Rebecca - I’ve changed it, thanks! I know when you first started leaving comments I didn’t have a url, so I found that one in a roundabout way. But then you left it and I was going to change it. But obviously missed it!

Tracee & Devourer of Books - Well, lets give credit where credit is due, to Joy and Danielle. I’m glad you like the idea.

  10. Tarie - You know I LOVE YA!

  11. Thanks for the mention! The next best thing to reading books is reading about them, and because they’re so expensive your reviews are much valued :)
I’ve added a lot to my Wish List because of this blog.

  14. Thanks for the great review and wonderful attention to Daoud Hari’s book. It was my honor to work with him on it. He called the other day from the book tour –he is very tired and down after so many retellings of the hard stories. But he knows that a happy outcome can come only by spreading some consciousness over the situation so that more of humanity understands and feels for the people still in tents and on the run. As you have helped in that regard, I extend his thanks and greetings to you, with my own.

  15. Tarie - Dang! My sister and I fixed some back end stuff, we tested it, and she received it. I may have to find a different plugin. Thanks for the award!

Dennis - Thank you for your kind words. I’m transferring your comments over the The Translator’s book review as well, so others that read it later will see it as well. Thanks.
