I havent read the book, but am hoping too, my sister read it, but has to check it back into the library tomorrow I guess I could go check it out, but I am afraid of the librarians...She did a report on it, where she had to read a passage from the book aloud, and she read the part when Hector is at the "drinking spot" thinking of places he could bring meadow. Is the whole book as good as the tiny blip I mentioned?

Please write me back

Thanks!

Hi! Criss cross happens to be one of my favorite books. Its hard to understand i know but its about figuring out who you are, where you belong and letting the futur come and not going to it. If you ever decide to reread it look at the author's details. The small details are actually big. anyways i understand your point of veiw.

Even though every persons opinion is different, my reading time is limited so I think I will stay away from this one.

Tarie - I'll think of you the whole time I'm there.

Noel - Oh my, I'm making a lot of people cry today. I haven't read The Story of Mankind yet. No good, I'm guessing?

Becky - This is my first year that I've been reading middle grade/juvenile fiction, so I've got a lot of "catching up" to do. Personally, I'd just skip this one.

Theresa - I have My Side of the Mountain on my bookshelf just waiting to be read. I keep picking it every once in a while and saying, this month? But I haven't managed to get around to it yet. I was fortunate to meet Jean Craighead George a few years ago, it was a nice experience.

I started listening to this on tape and promptly fell asleep. Partly because the reader's voice was so grating that my only defense was to pass out, and partly because I had no idea what the point was. There was one passage I liked though, towards the beginning, about Hector soaking up the guitar player's music like a sponge.
