Farworld Blog Tour with J. Scott Savage

Well, a few things have convinced me to take part in J. Scott Savage’s blog tour for his upcoming series Farworld.
- One, I had a goal this year to explore a new genre. Thus far, it’s been fantasy. I’m assuming Farworld is fantasy, although I forgot to ask! But let’s assume that I’m able to discern this from the title. If I’m wrong, I’m an idiot.
- Two, I have to support my local authors! Scott is from . . . where do you live Scott? Somewhere in the Salt Lake City valley, maybe Utah Valley? Anyways, he’s my neighbor! Can’t beat that.
- Three, his blog is really funny.
- Four, seems like I’m the last one of the book bloggers to sign up for this thing, and frankly I just don’t want to be left out.
- And fifth, J. Scott Savage was kind enough to stop by my blog and we’ve been having a great conversation on this post here. After that, I really do want to read his book!
So watch for a pit stop here during the summer as we talk about J. Scott Savage new series Farworld! And he’s promised an interview as well! And to top it off, one lucky winner will receive a ARC of his new book. So stay tuned!

I’m on his blog tour too, and he seems fantastic. I agree that his blog is hilarious, which I think bodes well for this book we’ll be reading, and he’s so kind. He stopped by my blog as well and said that I was his new best friend for stating that I hope this is a new series that I can give kids as presents.
on April 17th, 2008 at 7:26 amIsn’t it refreshing to meet such a funny author? I’m so tired of reading author blogs that are so boring. Lol I especially like how he keeps mentioning that his fellow author looks like Mr. Bean

Kathleen - I thought it was funny when he mentioned James Dashner looking like Mr. Bean. I immediately asked my husband if that was true because about six months or so ago my husband was riding the train into downtown SLC when he noticed a writer correcting a manuscript next to him. He asked if he was a editor and he said no, I’m getting my book published and I’m proofing it. It was of course James Dashner. They talked, exchanged email addresses and he’s been so kind to respond to my husband’s inquiries (he’s an aspiring author himself. I haven’t read his book yet because I’m not huge into Fantasy but my guilt may drive me to it. Oh and he said, no, he didn’t look like Mr. Bean. So now I don’t know who to believe!
on April 22nd, 2008 at 3:08 pmI think I am one of the last ones to join in on this. I love reading his blog as well. Can’t wait for the book to be delivered.
on April 24th, 2008 at 4:15 pmErin - I don’t really read fantasy, so I’m curious or not if I’d like this one or not. But he said he was willing to take the chance on me and talked me into it!
