I think they're good books to listen too. The narrator has a perfect accent and they sound great. I personally like the Isabel Dalhousie mysteries better than this series. They start with "The Sunday Philosophy Club". They're set in Scotland and for some reason I just love books set in Scotland. I’ve listened to a few of Smith’s books on CD including this one. I also saw the film on tv and can't wait for the series to start next year. PS. If only we were all referred to as 'traditionally built'. Nothing deeply intellectual about them, but there is plenty of fascinating cultural information to glean, and I love a strong, feisty heroine (especially one who is "traditionally built")! Great combo of detective story, romance, and adventure. In my opinion, the books get better as they go, so I think you're really going to enjoy the rest of the series. I love these books, too.
