Stephenie Meyers’ New Book Release Date Announced

Okay, so this post is for all of you Stephenie Meyer fans out there. This includes ALL of my neighbors, my mother-in-law, and just about everybody I know (now I can really test the waters and see if my friends and family actually read my blog). Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in the Twilight series will be released on Saturday, August 2, 2008! You can always find out more details at Stephenie’s official website.
I can see the hysteria now. I did read Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse but as of yet have not written a review about them. Maybe I’ll get around to writing down some thoughts before the new book comes out in August.

Very interesting, since I think the story is at its best right now. Any addition will be a distraction and an overdeveloment and if she is not careful drawn out. It would be better to start a new sequel.

I think there will be hysteria come August 2nd and I bet you’ll still read it anyways!

Kayla – Oh yes, I read all three books this past fall. I own the first two but haven’t purchased the third one yet. There will be a special edition coming out in March or April and I will pick it up then. I really enjoyed these books. I read them out of pure curiosity because it seemed that everyone I knew was reading them. I read all three within a week or two. I’m looking forward to the movie and can only pray that they don’t mess it up!

Jeannie – I just looked up Nikki Reed on IMBD. I’m not familiar with her and haven’t seen any of her films. In fact, I haven’t heard of any of the actors/actresses cast for Twilight with the exception of Robert Pattinson, who was in Harry Potter. So you can bet we have all seen him! Looking forward to the movie as well.

I know she’s debating on whether or not to just put it on her website or what. She’ll probably sell it though. I’m sure we’ll find out sooner than later.

hey, ok i read each of the twilight books in 1 day each and now i am totally obsessed. i love the way stephenie wrights and i am looking forward to reading the rest of midnight sun. i love edward and all the characters but my top 4 wich i could not choose favorites between are bella, edward, alice, and emmett. i know most people dont really think of emmett that much but i think he brings a sort of lightness to the dark parts of the story and yes he is a bit imature and suggestive at times but i still enjoy his humor, i am not sure exactly why i love alice so much there is just something about her that fasinates me and i am sure i will get to understand her more in midnight sun, i like bella for most of the same reasons as everyoe else but i also like her because i feel very related to her in many ways first of all i am very clumsy and dont really think i dont think i am really anything of interest,i dont ever win at anything im not lucky and no one ever really considers me a piont of interest. and of course i like edward because he is perfect, the exact model of what i have been dreaming of since i was 7. after reading twilight i am completely changed i am slightly depresed and hugely exhilarated,i am depresed because i see how much i really need someone to love and i mean really really lovesomeone with the same passion that bella and edward have. and even though i am 13 i still am desperate to fall in love, i spend almost every minute of every day with a thought or story about twilight in my head . i think that since stephenie is taking a break from writing midnight sun she should wor on being jacob black(an extra she posted on her sight that ended at the end of new moon) i think she should finish it up to breaking dawn because even though i have mixed feelings about jacob i still think the piece helps me understand him and i also think it is very interesting to hear one story from different pionts of view. also stephenie said she wasnt going to write the rest of the twilight books from edwards piont of view but even if she doesnt want to publish them she could still write them for fun and post them on her website for anybody who wants to read them . well this wraps it up but i willl be comenting again

I can understand Stephenie Meyer. It must have been a big disappointment. I only hope she puts her creativity in another book and that people have learned from this and never destroy a book before it is published again.

I think you should still write MIDNIGHT SUN. My friends and I are dying to read it. So many people are sending out petitions for it. Please, please write it. I’m sure nobody would make the mistake to steal it again. I hope you can consider writing it soon, instead of when everybody forgets it for two years.

You made hope and light shine through when there was none.. I love The Twilight Saga.. All 4 Books.. I have read the part of Midnight Sun which you have on your site and im dying to read more.. My imagination went wild with the story and i cant help but want more..The movie was great too.. I loved the casting of Robert Pattinson.. He plays Edward perfectly. My two favourite scenes are: The Baseball Game and The Dance at the End of The Prom..I cant wait for Midnight Sun if its released, and the Movie New Moon.. I keep re-reading the books and i have watched Twilight so many times i have lost count.. The Soundtrack for Twilight is so in tune with the iconic moments from the book… Anyway.. I am blown away by this epic love story. After watching the movie with my 3 daughters, I couldn’t wait to read the book. I finished it in 1 day, as I could not tear myself away from it. My hunger for more drove me in pursuit to find the 3 sequels – the very next morning! I devoured them all within 3 days.
Excited about the knowledge that I could expect Edward’s view of the story, I visited the website. To my horror, I came across Stephanie’s last blog about burying it. My heart has a whole in it & I am filled with grief. I actually feel like I’ve lost someone close to me! I can only imagine her pain in this decision, as compared to how I am grieving about this tragedy. An old proverb says that bitterness is the poison we drink, hoping to make the other person sick. I pray that Stephanie, after recovering from her grief & properly heals from this vile violation, will be able to revisit this beautiful side to this decade’s best love story. It would be truly a tragedy, as you can glimpse her heart in developing Edwards character, to both herself & her fans. I HAVE to believe that this is not the end – for who is the victor in it’s absolute death? And… who hasn’t already fallen in love with what they’ve already read from Midnight Sun?
I will be re-reading all of the books, starting immediately – which is a first in my 35 years. I was starting to lose hope in new writers & have been turning to old, classic reads that embody real morals & virtue. This experience has filled me with new hope. I look forward to BEING ABLE to walk away from these characters, without feeling a pang of loss in my heart, to unravel some of Stephanie’s other books. I’m sure I won’t be disappointed!

I usually get frusterated and give up, but i read this series in 4 days. I have since reread each book several times, my husband and son make fun of me because i can’t put them down. I read the partial of Midnight Sun on-line and can’t wait.What this person or group did by stealing it is horrible, and I understand how hurt Stephenie must be! However, there are enough true fans out here dying for the rest of it that she should understand that not evryone is that way!!!

on June 30th, 2009 at 9:20 pmI LOVE these books!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven’t read a book in so many years and I was at work one day and bored and co- worker gave me Twilight to read. I had seen the movie once and I liked it but after reading the book it’s just so much more than the movie. I went straight to the bookstore and got the other three and was done readung them within 4 days. I have read the partial of Midnight Sun and I love it also.. There was so many answers as far as how Edward felt about things that it answered for me. I can only imagine how she felt when this got leaked but I hope she does realize that it does not matter that we still want the rest. I’m actually just waiting and hoping that she decides really soon and I will be able to read the rest of Edwards thoughts soon. I also feel that she could redo the 4 books in Edward’s thoughts also. I just find his point of view so interesting.
I will be buying the The Host tomorrow and I know I will like it.. I just can’t stop thinking about Twilight.. Please let the books keep coming.. I actually enjoy reading them and feel so sad now that I’m done.. I will read them all over again once I’m done with the Host.. All I can say is she is a wonderful writer and I hope the books keep coming!!!!!!!!

Stephenie is a wonderful writer , capable of making all ages feel young and adventurous , romantic and excited . I really hope she will finish Midnight Sun . 7/31/2009 Off to a late start with Twilight Thought it would be boring. Bought the movie used ,watched it and I was shocked.It was really good so it made me wonder if the books would hold my interest. Went out and bought #2. Read it in one night. Then #3 the next day. Fast read. Looked up on the internet about your work and came across the part of Midnight Sun. Loved it. You really need to finish it. Edwards side answers his unspoken thoughts. Tomorrow I am getting Breaking Dawn. Cant wait to read it. Also waiting now for the movies. I am now a big fan.
on July 31st, 2009 at 4:56 amThe Twilight series was a great story although I would personally like to yell at her editor. There are many typos in the alst 2 books almost like they were rushed and it’s horrible that people should have to pay $17 bucks for an unedited book. On that note the overall story was good. If you go to her website now you can read the first 264 pages of Midnight Sun and it’s rather entertaining to get insight into everyone’s minds through Edward. Althoug I appreciate Midnight Sun, she should not have started it until she release’s “Nessie’s Version” which would be the very last of the Twilight series IF she even completes it. She needs to complete the series. For 1, the Volturi will return and that should be a fun battle, for 2, we need to know what will happen with Jacob and Nessie and to find out if Jacob will age and die or stay a “shape shifter” permanently because of Nessie. Also she needs to touch base on the college aspect as well and if Bella can continue her relationship with her father. She just left too much unknown its unfinished.

on August 20th, 2009 at 4:57 amI dont think she is going to finish midnight sun, she just keeps whining about it being stolen yet she posted most of the book on her website. For those of you who keep telling everyone to go to her website I recommend you dont waste your time. There are very few updates on there and the ones she posts are about lame crap she did during the summer. If she doesnt finish either of the books shes going to make herself look like a fool and lose a lot of money. Its a pretty weak excuse in my opinion and extremely messed up that she would post so much of the book then say shes not going to release it or not set a date. If you are going to start a series finish it or dont write at all. Only a horrible author does this to her fans, personally I like the story but she isnt the greatest of writers. Well Stephanie if ur reading this quit ur pitty party and be thankful and gracious to the fans who help pay your paycheck or just stop altogether.

on September 10th, 2009 at 4:56 pmI think you should finish your book Midnight Sun. A lot of people are starting to get a little bored of the Twilight Saga. If you finished the book, it would probably get more readers to read the book. It will make the Twilight series more popular with a spark.
The last time I wrote here, it was in April, and now it is September again. I am still waiting for the book. I really hope you finish it soon! I love to read, and I only read big books. I am runing out of boooks to read! I read all of your books and all series’ about vampires. I need another book!!!!! PLEASE???!!!

I would just like to start off with how much i enjoy reading your books. I have all the twilight saga novels and i have read each of the over 40 times. once is never enough. I would also like to ask when midnight sun is going ot be published. I have heard about it all over the net but i couldnt read it untill it is finished. that would betray you and all the other twilight fans. I have to say that reading your material is fasinating and i feel so out of body when i read them. To me life is a book. Using your own imagination to bring the caracters to life is the best feeling and i want to thank you for that. I am waiting for midnight sun to come out so i can have the experiance all overt again as i do every time i read twilight. Please let us know when you decide to finish the book. and please know that i would never read a book that isnt published that would go against my beliefs as a fan of reading.

I have been a book lover since I was a child. And she is going to lose fans if she decides not to finish the book after posting 264 pages of it on her own website. As was stated earlier, there are too many loose ends that are left unfinished as Kayla stated, so she needs to finish her series. Just as J.K Rowling got grilled for almost not finishing the Harry Potter series, the same rules should apply to Stephanie. And Leslie I never stated I did not care for the series, If I did not like the series I wouldnt be upset that she is whinning and not going to finish her book.
