My in-laws have been in town for the Christmas holidays. I love having company, it keeps my kids preoccupied and they love having the visitors. Anyways, on Saturday, they offered to babysit so my husband and I could go out. So where do we go? The movies? Dinner? A romantic getaway? Nope. We choose to go to the library. We go to the library all the time. When storytimes are in session, I go at least three times a week to two different branches. I love storytime! But that’s a whole other post.

We always check out the ongoing library sales to see if there is anything good. After visiting the West Jordan branch, my husband suggested that we also visit the South Jordan branch to check out their ongoing library sale. Why not? Two libraries in one day? Are we glad we did. Upon arrival we realized that they were just beginning a massive children’s book sale. They had tables of books for just 25 cents. This is my definition of heaven. Needless to say, it took us a good hour to go through the books. Upon sorting our pile, I only put one book back.

We picked up nearly 40 children’s books in great condition. We found some great finds including five books about trains! This is a great reason to make sure you know the childrens’ librarian. Miss Allison knew our son was infatuated with all things train and personally handed me all of the train books. I think he must have a dozen books about trains and he’s only two. Many times in order for him to take a nap, I have to prop upon a train book between the mattress and headboard so he can look at his train pictures.

I love our library! I also love great library sales!
